Martin D-28 Marquis Acoustic Guitar Natural

Crafted to evoke the same powerful tone and sonorous projection as a pre-WWII D-28, the Martin D-28 Marquis Acoustic Guitar differs only by using the much less scarce, and therefore more affordable, Indian rosewood instead of Brazilian rosewood. Using only premium-grade solid Indian rosewood for the back and sides and a solid Adirondack spruce top, the Marquis Guitar delivers powerful sounds with scalloped Adirondack spruce braces and forward-shifted X-bracing. A special aging toner gives the wood a vintage countenance.

The list of historically accurate details, nearly overwhelming and totally exhaustive, captures the authentic spirit of the Martin D-28: mahogany blocks/dovetail neck joint construction, slot-through saddle, herringbone binding, neck dart, zipper back marquetry, ivoroid binding, herringbone top trim, Waverly butterbean tuners, and old-style wood fiber rosette.

The Martin D-28 Marquis also has a beveled and polished tortoise pickguard; ebony bridge with long saddle; modified V-shaped neck; ebony fretboard (1-3/4" nut, 25-2/5" scale) with diamond and square inlays; and fossil ivory nut, saddle, and bridgepins (with black dots).

Special Edition Series notables include the Golden Era decal on the peghead and a special inside label signed by C.F. Martin IV.

Martin POW MIA Acoustic Guitar Black*

The POW MIA Dreadnought Special Edition Acoustic Guitar was designed by a small group of Martin employees to honor the families of American servicemen and women who were held captive or are still missing in action. A stainless steel bracelet will be sent to the original owner upon completion of the Martin warranty. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each POW MIA guitar will be donated to the National Alliance of Families for the return of America's missing servicemen and women.

Martin 000-18 Golden Era 1937 Sunburst Acoustic Guitar Sunburst

The Martin Marquis 000-18 Sunburst Acoustic Guitar is a more affordable vintage Martin recreation of the Golden Era 1937 original. Marquis guitars feature Golden Era appointments but utilize East Indian rosewood backs, sides, and headplates. Also boasts Adirondack spruce and modern improvements such as adjustable truss rods and modified v-shape necks.

Martin HD-28VE Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The HD-28VE Acoustic-Electric Guitar is an update of one of the sweetest-sounding guitars in the Martin stable. It has all the same features as the original with the Fishman Ellipse Blend amplification system ingeniously mounted inside the soundhole to maintain the classic HD-28 lines while delivering electric amplification functions. The flexible soundhole-mount condenser mini-microphone has volume, blend, and phase controls for maximum tone-shaping flexibility.

The solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood body, modified V-shape mahogany neck, herringbone trim, and prewar forward-shifted bracing produce the treasured tone and playability that made the original a classic. Part of Martin's Vintage Series, the HD-28VE Acoustic-Electric features ivoroid binding, HD zigzag purfling, ebony fretboard, vintage-style open tuners, and ebony bridge with long saddle.

Martin 000-28VS Acoustic Guitar

This beauty features a solid East Indian rosewood body with a solid Sitka spruce top. The fretboard and bridge are black ebony. Vintage appointments include a slotted headstock which gives the guitar more snap, and such details as the old-style small logo, zigzag purfling on the back, butterbean tuner keys, herringbone top inlay, and diamond and squares fingerboard markers. Impeccably crafted in every detail, its tone is rich and balanced through all registers. Includes Martin hardshell case.

Martin M-38 Acoustic Guitar Vintage

Martin is proud to restore the M-38 acoustic guitar back into the stock lineup. Long prized in performing and recording circles, the larger 0000 or Grand Auditorium shape is combined with the thinner 000 body depth to yield notes that resound and decay quickly allowing for new notes resulting in a tonal balance and power that is less prone to stage feedback and thus highly useful in the studio. Style 38 appointments are ornate but tasteful.
